We are located in Green Bay Wisconsin, on the north west side at 1350 Bond Street at the corner of Platten and Bond and Mather 920-494-3737. Our worship times are Sundays at 8:30 am and 10:30 am with fellowship and sunday school in between. Summer hours May 24th 2012 thru September 2nd 2012. Worship service at 9:00am on Sundays 7:00pm on Thursdays. We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church In America, www.elca.org East Central Synod of Wisconsin www.ecsw.org NEW! Bethel's Guiding Principles of Discipleship
Bethel's History
1914 Bethel Danish Lutheran Church was organized with a membership of 15 adults and 4 children.
1917 A new church building was officially dedicated on the corner of West Mason and Ashland.
1928 The Danish language was discontinued and English was used in all worship services.
1939 Silver Anniversary was celebrated. Eight charter members were still living and were honered.
1960 A new church building on the corner of Bond and Platten was dedicated.
1964 Golden Anniversary, 50th, was celebrated. Three charter members were still living.
1971 The bell tower was constructed housing the bell from the old Bethel Church.
1978 The library, nursery and enclosed stairway were added.
1988 Bethel became part of the newly formed Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
1989 Diamond Anniversary, 75th, was celebrated membership had reached 894.
1998 A major renovation included making several areas more accessible and added a fellowship area and an elevator.
2004 Marked our 90th Anniversary
2007 Our current membership is 850
2009 Marked our 95th Anniversary
2009 January 24th Bethel held an appreciative inquiry summit to define its mission and vision statements
2009 October 15th Pastor Amy Engebose was installed as Bethels new spiritual leader! Membership 713.
2011 Bethel went on its first mission trip to the Village of Hope in Haiti
